- Chamonix Challenge/Final Assault (1987) Mountain climbing games are popular these days, and Chamonix Challenge from Infogrames (Final Assault in the US) was one of the first. Choose a peak, pack your bags with what you'll need (including a disk if you want the ability to save) and head out. 1/2
- You have to not only control your climber (starting with the hike towards the mountain), but also manage hunger, cold, exhaustion et.c. The game is quite in-depth, and has a good reputation. I only played it briefly as I didn't have the ability to really learn it, but it's in my todo list 2/2

- Lysis (1989) A clone of Tetris with with smooth movement of the pieces (but it's still grid-based, so the smoothness just adds a somewhat annoying delay) and really terrible sound effects. Meh ... it's serviceable. It's in German, and was published on the Golden Disk 64 disk magazine. 1/2
- Tetris was reasonably well known by now, though the Game Boy version was still a year away from release in Europe (just like the Game Boy itself). So I wouldn't be surprised if Lysis was someone's first experience with the concept. They would probably have had a decent time with it. 2/2
- Eye of the Beholder (2022) A truly impressive unofficial conversion of the classic RPG by Westwood Studios and SSI, and currently rated the best Commodore 64 game ever over at Lemon64. It's really faithful to the original, looks and sounds great, and plays very well too. 1/3
- While the Commodore 64 did get a lot of great RPGs back in the day, this one takes advantage of the cartridge format to provide a smooth and fast experience with no loading times, and lots of amazing graphics. Truly an impressive feat of programming. 2/3
- The game was programmed by Andreas Larsson, and is available as a free download from CSDB. If you'd rather play the 1991 original, the PC version was rereleased for modern Windows by SNEG on GOG and Steam a few years ago. It's still quite playable and worth trying if you like RPGs. 3/3
