Weird request: I'm looking for good movies (especially indie) where seemingly "nothing happens" in that the story is character focused, small, emotional, bearing witness to a human being. My mind goes to Brittany Snow's recent directorial debut "Parachute." Other examples please.

Japanese film: Perfect Days. Exactly what you’re describing. It’s not for everyone since “nothing happens,” but I really loved it. Broke me by the end.
