- I've been do heckin' busy I missed Mosasaur Monday so please accept these beauty shots I'm taking of Winnie the Plesioplatecarpus as an apology.
- Winnie is so cool not only because she is so large, but all the pathologies she preserves. Look at that oval abscess in her lower jaw invading both the surangular and angular.
- She's also got small round holes with raised edges on her skull, likely where parasites drilled through her skin and anchored into her bone during the Cretaceous. Compound this with a fractured left jaw and Winnie had a tough life.
- All that furball in Pennsylvania has told me is that it's 6 more weeks till field season.
- New Idiot Dog used all 3 of her legs to do the 0.8 mile around the block walk. She throws a fit if we try to turn back early. It took almost an hour, but she's now exhausted and happy.
