We actually did better than that if you do a deep dive into the stats. We Doubled our share of the electorate from 4% to 8%. We Increased our voter registration in the LGBTQ+ community to 95% AND, we increased our turnout in the one demographic in our community that has the most issues w/ voting,
The majority of the LGBTQ community turned out for VP Harris at 86%. In fact, she actually gained more votes with us than Biden did, with a net gain of 15 points from 2020.
Kinda feels like we’re being punished
transgender folks to turn out at Higher rates than the general population!! 87% of eligible trangender folks voted in the 2024 election compared to around 67% of cishetero folks...😡
We have worked our asses off organizing & Doubled LGBTQ+ voter participation in the last 10 yrs..
Our problem at this point is that while LGBTQ+ folks, & especially LGBTQ+ women (92%!!!!) voted for Kamala Harris, and so did Black & Jewish folks, white, cishetero people continue to fail the voting assignment.
