Weirdly the one time I've seen Donald Trump seem semi-insightful was him talking about Citizen Kane, which really seems to have struck a nerve.
Of course, Kane is a far more sympathetic monster than Trump, but they're very, very, very similar personalities.
In honour of Melania, here's a reminder that the thing Kane is applauding in this popular gif isn't good. It's very bad! It's his wife singing poorly in an opera he paid for.
I occasionally remember that interview where the interviewer said he wasn't a humble man and he said something like, "Actually I'm the humblest man alive. I'm humble in ways you couldn't imagine," like someone in a Christopher Guest movie. I still have no idea how self-aware that was.
