- seeing the lists of adobe "alternatives" going around again, failing to recognise that a lot of what's in the adobe suite is still not truly replicated (i.e. colour channel packing non-destructively, and other such things), and reposting it without doing their due research.
- stop being useless about it and recommend things that can actually do everything the adobe suite tools can do, entirely self-contained, non-destructively. you won't find it. we're not here with adobe because we like them, but because what they do is important to all manner of game dev et al.
- I'd love to just walk out of the adobe mines without a shred of remorse, but when I need it both professionally for collaborative work and on a personal basis for extremely niche shit, not a singular replacement actually fulfills what I need.
