Sailing our liveaboard boat since finding Space Oddity (and dog and cat) in the world's most southern city
'Floating in a tin can' 🌊🌕☀️
- Walking in the wind on the shore (Uruguay) an abrupt old lady stops me, says her dog's called Nina Hagen, and shows me 5 vids of Nina Hagen, who's an 80s German singer, on YT on her phone. Not bad Nina Hagen I have to say #travel #blog #uruguay
- What you first see as you approach little Puerto Sauce by boat is this old factory, still standing over the harbour, though not in use today. It was once part of the river's still-present paper industry. Wouldn't it be cool to explore? Haha #ruins #abandoned #building #photography #travel #uruguay
- Who likes the rain? you would if you lived on a boat on this river haha, because of the heat before the rain in the summers here. All still, humid, and not a bit of breeze. 1/2 #rain #boat #sailing #liveaboard #blog #travel #uruguay #southamerica
- 2/2 Some nights the storm's coolness makes sleeping more comfortable, after seeing its clouds approach all day. At last you feel rain on your face from the hatch above. Often I sleep once the storm's struck the boat with its first force. Rain sound on deck's rather cosy.
- look look sometimes I bake! (mostly when G's not here to bake, but hey) #liveaboard #cooking #baking #cookies
- The river suburbs of Buenos Aires include the 'isla' where we moored Space Oddity, less one island than a collection of islands in the extensive Paraná delta. The residents or isleños are a very boat-based community. Boat ambulances. Boat stores. #boats #travel #blog #argentina #photography
- Some wind and waves 50 miles offshore from Argentina giving us a great sailing day. (Though after 24 hrs we didn't mind when it decreased as that motion tires you eventually!) #boat #sailing #travel #travelblog #waves #liveaboard #sea
