- so ive lately been asking ppl not to call me “ma’am” on the phone. it’s been mostly positive but i do need to vent about this call i just had. just got off the phone with hellofresh customer service (for the fucking 8th time, btw). i didnt say anything the first couple times bc i didn’t want (1/8)
- deal with having that conversation. but then he said it a third time and i was like okay obviously this just isn’t gonna stop. so i asked “sorry, can you please not call me ma’am?” and he said yes then kinda stammered until i was like “anyway, what were you saying?” lol (2/8)
- but then it happened again. and i asked him again not to say that. and he apologized but recovered more quickly. but then it happened AGAIN. and by that point i was very frustrated, mostly due to customer service reasons (again, it’s taken me 8 calls to fix literally ONE issue) (3/8)

- i have decided i’m gonna learn to sew. there is a studio near me that has beginner classes and they seem really nice and queer friendly and i wanna DO IT
- i have been wishing i knew how to sew for a while now ! and i think last time i looked into it, it seemed like the beginner stuff was for kids only, so i got a lil discouraged. but there ARE adult classes and they aren’t exactly cheap but they’re affordable!

- what if we took the whole idea of “calories in, calories out” and applied it to just general rest and self-care. what if we as a society prioritized resting, recharging, tending to ourselves in amounts equal (or at least CALIBRATED) to our energy expenditure. workaholics found shaking in their boots

- like it’s just so fucking offputting and disheartening to interact w someone who is like that. like, i am in a position of being able to pay customers (from the pockets of a Large Company) and i see it as my duty to the custies to make sure they are getting the maximum benefit possible.

- also i get it, like, rules *do* have to be enforced in our line of work. it’s definitely not like my last job where i had free reign to just give away freebies. however: why are you getting joy out of this? why do you not wish you could give freebies? it reflects poorly on you as a person.
