It’s clear Trump's ICE would rather engage in a cover up. I will not stop pressing until we get answers. We need transparency & accountability.
- So many (understandably) emotional responses to this, but also so many objectively wrong approaches. The general rules are the same as for engaging conspiracy theorists:
- It's hard and might fail, so decide on whether it's worth your personal investment. Trying to change someone's mind takes a long time and disciplined effort, so make sure you find the relationship worth of the investment.
- It's a matter of identity, not logic. People need to come around to any realisation on their own. The best you can aim for is to find common ground, base principles, and instill doubt and curiosity. Being angry will not work on an individual basis.
