David Tossell
Author of 20 books (Blood On The Tracks out now). Cricket tragic and vintage football anorak.
- Pleased to share that, after two years in the making, 'Maestro', my portrait of the great Garry Sobers, will be released by @PitchPublishing.bsky.social later this year and can be pre-ordered now www.amazon.co.uk/dp/183680194...
- The new edition of @nightwatchmanxi.bsky.social includes my love letter to the Gray-Nicolls Scoop. Plus lots of other good stuff, of course.
- Do England really need to risk an injured Mark Wood in a game in which they are already on top, given his history and at the start of a major 12 months of Test cricket? #ICCChampionsTrophy
- Was there ever a more pointless graphic than the 'Tournament Fours' caption that comes up with every boundary in the #ICCChampionsTrophy coverage?
- Thrilled and honoured that Blood On The Tracks has been short-listed by @CricketSociety, along with some other fantastic books, for their prestigious award. www.lords.org/Lords/News-s...
- Terrific podcast series. Worth a listen... and then Blood On The Tracks offers a deep dive into the historic 74-75 tour.
- Writing update: Manuscript for 21st book (cricket) delivered to @PitchPublishing. Details to follow in due course. Alerady 25,000 words deep into next project. Back to football. Details at some point in the future!
- UEFA, as we know, get an awful lot wrong, but the new Champions League format has been fantastic in my view. Not much comes close to the drama of the NFL's Red Zone but @tntsports' Goals Show should be a compelling couple of hours tonight.
- Just the Jets being the Jets. Nothing to see here.
