- This is a particularly big problem outside of the United States. The New York Times has a global audience. A small fraction of billions of people is a viable business model. A small fraction of, say, 41 million people? Less so.
- It's objectively funny that Republicans became the party of tax complexity, protectionism, and nationalization. The rest is...less funny.
- Just your friendly neighbourhood Canadian here again with my two cents. Want to own the flag and appeal to nostalgia? Run on turning back the clock to 2015. Remind people how normal things felt. How well all the insitutions being torn down served the people. Make America Normal Again
- American innovation powered the global economy. Public colleges were an engine of social mobility. Housing costs were reasonable. Healthcare was becoming more accessible. People weren't getting kidnapped by masked me. There's good reason to be nostalgic for pre-MAGA America! Be that place again. ❤️
- Sure, America was far from perfect in 2025. Nowhere ever is. But the arc of history was bending towards justice, until it was abruptly snapped. People can choose to get back onto that trajectory.
