- Reposted by DiscologistBad Bunny: Before I say thanks to god, I'm going to say, ICE out. We are not savage, we are not animals, we are not aliens, we are humans and we are Americans.
- If you are looking for ways for your voice/consumption to have an impact on what' going on in the US right now, this Is a good place to start. www.resistandunsubscribe.com
- This is just common sense at this point if we want the humanity to thrive. And if not...a lot of 70's sci-fi covered the if not

- Reposted by DiscologistEvery Saturday I make a playlist of the Top 20 Countdown from this week in 1985. This week Madonna takes a tumble down to #7, but it's all love with Foreigner taking the top spot and Billy Ocean, Wham, and more singing about our messiest emotion. music.apple.com/us/playlist/...
- Reposted by DiscologistThe arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.
- Reposted by DiscologistCatherine O’Hara didn’t steal scenes she just showed up and ownership automatically defaulted to her
- Reposted by Discologist"If you can’t trust a single word that the Department of Homeland Security says, how can we have any idea what is going on out of sight?" benrhodes1.substack.com/p/the-normal...
- Reposted by DiscologistStarting a new substack: "We can watch a man get killed by federal agents in Minneapolis and then hear him besmirched as a terrorist or assassin despite what we saw with our own eyes. It makes you feel powerless, which it is intended to do." open.substack.com/pub/benrhode...
- Reposted by DiscologistThis one goes out to the family and friends of Alex Pretti - a son of the watershed. Words can not express the horror of what ICE did on Saturday. May his memory guide all in changing the US federal government to be truthful, transparent & for the people #MinnesotaStrong 🌊🌊
- Reposted by DiscologistA very necessary documentary whether you're a huge fan of Brooks' work or not boxd.it/cPnZad
- Reposted by DiscologistEvery Saturday I make a playlist of the Top 20 Countdown from this week in 1985. This week Madonna is, you guessed it, still on top. But Foreigner search for the meaning of love is making moves, with Chicago creeping up behind. music.apple.com/us/playlist/...

- Was covering @newportfolk.bsky.social in 2013(?) and was catching a bite backstage when Jackson Browne grabbed a seat and proceeded to praise the quality of the sandwiches. He was also very focused on finding the best clams at the fort. Good hang.
- Here I was not trying to have any kind of emotions today and f***ing John Mayer made me cry 🙄

- Reposted by DiscologistFare thee well, Bob Weir. I wasn't always into the Grateful Dead, but Weir and his accomplices pulled me in. A few words about the guy who kept going Furthur in his life and music: www.facebook.com/share/p/17DS...
- It's long past time
- RIP Bob Weir I fucking hate this timeline youtu.be/l2C443Kim5E?...
- Reposted by DiscologistEvery Saturday I'll be sharing the Top 20 Countdown from this week in 1985. Why 1985? Because I did 1984 last year and 1985 > 1986. Besides kicking off the year with Madonna on top, this week 40 years ago was lousy with generational hits. music.apple.com/us/playlist/...
- Reposted by DiscologistFinally saw Challengers last night. What a ridiculously entertaining and masterful film. boxd.it/cygGfh
- It's been 10 years already? Dang 😢 Bowie's death was a shock to everyone. His final album is a masterpiece. Here's what we thought about it back in 2016. www.discologist.com/episodes/epi...

- Reposted by DiscologistSomething we don't talk about enough is the role that the birth of "multiplexes" played in blockbuster films ballooning in length. In the 80s/90s, studios like Paramount hated 2hr+ edits. They dramatically reduced the chance of cinemas doing two showings a night on a single screen, lowering $$.

- Not just a great album, it's one of Floyd's very best
- Was reading a piece on One Battle After Another (a film which I thought was almost as bad as There Will Be Blood for the same reasons) and this quote stood out. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Let's get back to that in 2026, Ok?
