Lots of long tailed bits eating all the bugs in the garden today! This photo zoomed in on my phone makes it look like a sepia print.
Jan 26, 2026 14:31bugs? you don't live anywhere near the southern plains of north america, do you?
Nooo! I'm in the UK 🙂 it's pretty mild here at the moment.
Did you sanitise the post or was it an autocorrect 😂
#titsHa! I did not notice that typo!
Ooooh what kind of bird is that? Looks similar coloring to a titmouse but I don't see the crest.
This is in UK so it is a long tailed tit 😊
Very nice. I love seeing birds this time of year. Yesterday, in a group of bare bushes in my yard, there were actually at one point six cardinals perched there, along with a blue jay and some other birds, whose name I don't know. They bring happiness to me in this dark time. Thanks for the post.
Oh lucky you, that sounds like a real treat! Listening to bird song and spotting birds always lifts my mood.
My daughter calls them flying teaspoons.
That's brilliant!
Similar but of a gorgeous bobcat
Wow!!!!
Nothing but snow in our yard, no bugs to be had, so I feed the birds black oil seeds as well as a mix of millet and black oil seeds.
It's pretty mild here in Cambridge (UK) today so the birds are out in force.
I love how they go round in a little noisy gang! Super cute birds
Yes all the tits seems to descend on our garden at the same time like they hang out in a big group - great tits, blue tits and long tailed all together!
There's so many of them here! My son and I were cracking up because they're so fat that when they hop in the snow, all we see is a puffball with a beak 🤣
They are just so inherently cute because they are chubby but also look sort of scruffy!
😁
Your bird feeder is clearly the place to be!
I thought it was a painting on the fence. Such a great pic.
Yes it really does look like a painting!
