Only 1% of Democrats view Musk "very favorably" compared to 55% of Republicans.
Meanwhile, a striking 94% of Democrats view him "very unfavorably" vs just 6% of Republicans.
Age divide is also significant.
Among 18-34 year olds:
23% view Musk favorably
69% view him unfavorably
Among 50-64 year olds:
51% view Musk favorably
44% view him unfavorably
This generational gap threatens Tesla's future customer base.
Only 22% of urban Americans view Musk favorably, while rural Americans are much more positive (58.9% favorable).
States and regions with highest EV adoption skew urban & Democratic - exactly where Musk is now least popular.

When asked to describe Musk in one word, 33% of Democrats chose "dangerous" compared to just 2% of Republicans.
