- Mean Mediterranean SST has experienced a decrease in the last days
- June 2025 ends with SST values three to five degrees above normal for this time of year in the western Mediterranean. Only the Aegean Sea shows a negative temperature anomaly.
- Strong SST anomalies persist in the western Mediterranean, causing a marine heat wave
- June 2025 mean Mediterranean SST reached 6 of the 10 highest daily anomalies since 1982. The three highest values were recorded in June 21, 20 and 22 with 2.65, 2.57 and 2.51ºC. A mean Med SST value of 25.1 was recorded on June 23. 👇Thread (1/5)
