Archaeologist (as a living, not a personality). Philadelphian and proud of it (aren’t we all?) Mostly a reply guy (complimentary), also post about music and Philly sports. He/him/his.
- First of all, the original formula for Gatorade was the best, slightly salty and not nearly as sweet. Second: who among us hasn’t made a Gatorita or Gatorade and vodka? Third: while this probably did not taste good, I do enjoy a good Mexican lager with lime.
- Worked up a sweat digging out our car (as best as I could), and then clearing a path along the curb cuts for my street since it’s a nice thing to do and the city certainly isn’t getting to it. Gonna treat myself to a cold beer.
- Fuck there is a drip from our third floor ceiling, I just cleared the area on the fiberglass roof deck above it and as much of that roof in general. I knew this weather was going to fuck something up.
- I was prime cereal eating age while this was out, and have absolutely no memory of it at all. Gonna guess all the lore was restricted to the back of the box rather than commercials during cartoons.

- According to the Weather Channel app the temperature has officially reached 32 degrees, which is the closest to above-freezing in like 10 days. And the feels like is 21, which is higher than the daily highs the last week.
- Watching Moneyball, which takes place in the early 2000s, and it’s wild the dollar amounts they’re talking about. Jason Giambi gets signed for $7.5 million. The A’s are signing veteran players for mid-$200k. I think there are players now who make as much as that entire payroll.
- Just learned that DJ Michael “5000” Watts died on Friday. The founder of the Swishahouse record label responsible for so many 2000s Texas hip-hop classics. youtu.be/7ZAYzLjQAd4
- I was really excited when I saw that Sugar is playing Union Transfer but I just saw tickets are 73 bucks and you can fuck alllllllll the way off with that bullshit.
- Now that I’ve paid tribute to the late great Katherine O’Hara, it’s time to resume John’s drunken rewatch of wuxia classics. More Jet Li, from Fong Sai-Yuk to Wong Fei-Hong and the Once Upon a Time in China series.
