- On grey & dank days, with rain stottin' off pavements and steam gatherin rivulets down cafe windaes, Edinburgh streets entice me to their glowing embrace #WestEnd #Edinburgh stot: bounce or cause to bounce against a surface (Scots)

- The Timeball today at 1pm on the Nelson Monument Forerunner to the One O'Clock Gun at the castle to inform sailors in Leith of exact time before setting sail. Key to navigation back in 1853 the Royal Observatory on Calton Hill kept the "Master Clock" in perfect time by observing skies.

- The Time Ball at the top of the Nelson Monument has been restored recently - that's the wee black ball there not the huge big yellow one. #SnowMoon #Edinburgh
- Tonight's full moon - some call it the Snow Moon - was almost the exact same size as the Balmoral Hotel clock from where I was standing. There is no better place to be than Edinburgh to experience a full moon brightening the sky & enhancing the cityscape. #Edinburgh #SnowMoon
- Edinburgh in the rain looks just as enchanting even though it doesn't feel it at the time when rain dribbles down yer neck. You may recognise this scene in front of the Caley with that brilliant view over to St Cuthberts kirk & the castle high on its rock. #Edinburgh
- The last light of the day on Gladhouse Reservoir earlier this week - still a smidge of snow on the Moorfoot Hills and the most perfect windless conditions to provide glassy reflections. Honking geese and laughing ducks were the only disturbances for a surreal scene. #ScotlandStartsHere #Midlothian
- When the weather is mingin (foul, unpleasant) the streets of Edinburgh come alive with dancing colours and reflections

- Was grabbing this view of a leany-over fence at Rosslyn Chapel today when a wee Robin landed smack inside the composition. After posing on the fence in beautiful dappled sunlight it jumped down and scootered around my feet waiting for stray crumbs to drop off. #Robin
