- The Pirates have treasure trove of young starting pitching depth, with names like Bubba Chandler, Braxton Ashcraft, and Thomas Harrington coming to mind. Another name who could join the established core of Skenes and Jones is Hunter Barco, Pittsburgh’s 2nd round pick from 2022.

- One of my favorite excerpts from the piece. Even with his domination of the minor leagues this season, Gibson hasn’t even needed to use all his tools and has a 7th pitch pocketed deep in his arsenal.

- Carson Williams gets the call for Tampa Bay. Don’t love to be a pessimist, but as I said during my pod chat with @biggentleben.bsky.social, I just don’t see him hitting in MLB this year. Would love for him to prove me wrong. prospectsavant.com/player/700246
- Don’t let his line fool you - Trey Gibson was dominant in his 2nd AAA start. Minus a pair of homers on mistake pitches, his stuff was unhittable - hitters put a mere 13 balls in play out of 38 swings. 29% whiff rate overall.

- Jakob Marsee is DECIMATING the big leagues so far in his first month. His underlying lack of power hides his strength as a professional hitter. He has great contact ability and can hit to all fields OR pull a ball down the line in the air for a homer. A must watch name going forward
- Peyton “The Flamingo” Carr (Twins 10th rounder from last year, current in A-Ball for the Fort Wayne Mighty Mussels) has an.. interesting batting stance to say the least
- Dylan Discipline draws his first big league walk, having already reached base 3 times over his first 8 at bats.
